Parent’s Guide

Onsetgame Ltd. (“Company”, “Onsetgame”, “us”, “our”, or “we”) places a high value on your privacy and privacy of people that you care about, especially children.

The Internet is not a safe environment, so we have created this Guide to define the available ways to stay secure online while playing our game and keep your children secure as well.

We would like to inform/remind you that our website and services are made and offered for people who are at least 13 years of old. We do not knowingly contact or collect information from children under the age of 13 without the permission of their parents or guardians. If you believe that we may have collected Personal Information from someone under the age of 13, or under the applicable age of consent in your country without parental consent, please contact us here, and we will take appropriate measures to investigate and address the issue promptly.

However, certain questions and situations concerning children’s use of our website, services, and game have a place to be. In this Guide we have tried to cover what might be your most likely questions. If you think that we’ve missed anything, email us at support@onsetgame.com. If you have already faced some situation that we didn’t cover in this Guide, please include in your email any specific details that might be useful, like what happened and when, possible transaction ID receipts, relevant screenshots, etc.

Managing and turning off in-app purchases

You can freely download our game, but please note that our game also offers the entirely optional “in-app purchases”. “In-app purchases” are paid for with real money and are accessible within the game itself. The process of in-app purchase in our game is clear and recognizable as such.

These purchases are not required to play our game, but can be used to enhance some elements of gameplay. Please beware of any third-party websites that may offer you in-game products for Onsetgame games. You can buy such products only through the game itself on your mobile device or on Facebook.

NOTE

You can manage the ability to make in-app purchases, adjust password protection settings, or disable in-app purchases through your mobile device’s general settings. The way to do this depends on your device’ OS.

If you use a Google Android device you can find the appropriate instructions here: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/1626831?hl=en

If you use an iOS device, you can find the instructions here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204396

Unfortunately, you cannot disable in-app purchases in Facebook but you can simply remove the payment methods that you added to your account or just avoid saving them. You can learn how to do this here: https://www.facebook.com/help/178782558921789. For example, this may help you to prevent your children who play games on your device from accidental purchases as the checkout form will not be prepopulated if you have already made some purchases.

Processing in-app purchases

Onsetgame doesn’t process payments for in-app purchases so we also don’t have an access to any of your credit card information. All payment transactions are completed either through Apple’s App Store or Google Play via your personal email address associated with that account or through the Facebook services.

Receipts for these transactions will be emailed to you after each purchase by Apple, Google or Facebook. All post-purchase processes are controlled by Apple, Google, and Facebook, and are subject to change by them.

What can you do if your child accidentally made an in-app purchase?

Usually items that are bought through our game (in-app purchases) are non-refundable. However, in some special occasions we can make exceptions.

First of all, we would like to remind you that all post-purchase transactions are controlled by Apple, Google, and Facebook, which means that these companies have support teams who handle refund requests. Here is what you can do:

  • For Apple (iOS) devices. Visit the Apple support website page and perform a search, then choose the option that fits you best or contact Apple Support via “Get Support” button;
  • For Google (Android) devices. Visit the Google support website page and perform a search, or use the ‘Contact Google Play support’ button on the page (English language site only) to reach a Google customer support representative by email or by phone;
  • For Facebook. Visit the Facebook Payments Support website page and select “Games Purchases”, then provide the details of what happened, and select the appropriate order.

What should you do if you received a bill for a purchase that you didn’t make and suspect fraudulent activity?

If you or your child/children have never played our game, but suspect that there’s been a fraudulent transaction activity on your account, then you should immediately contact Apple (for iOS devices), Google (for Android devices), or Facebook, who control the transaction process.

  • For Apple (iOS) devices. Visit the Apple support website page and perform a search, then choose the option that fits you best or contact Apple Support via “Get Support” button;
  • For Google (Android) devices. Visit the Google support website page and perform a search, or use the ‘Contact Google Play support’ button on the page (English language site only) to reach a Google customer support representative by email or by phone;
  • For Facebook. Visit the Facebook Payments Support website page and select “Games Purchases”, then provide the details of what happened, and select the appropriate order.

In case you’ve already contacted Apple, Google, or Facebook about the suspected fraudulent activity and they’ve sent you to us, please contact us at support@onsetgame.com. Please include specific details like what happened and when, transaction ID receipts, relevant screenshots, etc.

  • For Google (Android) devices. Visit the Google Play Parental Controls website page, learn how parental controls on Google Play work, and perform a search according to the age of your family members who need to be controlled.
